Text Wallpaper is a free, private app made by one person. Donations pay the server bills and keep the app free for everyone. Donating is optional. The app works the same if you donate or not.
Why donations?
There is no account, and nothing is sold or shared. I keep only anonymous usage counts: which features get used, but not who used them. There are no ads and no paid version. Every feature is free for everyone. Ads or subscriptions would make the app worse, so I keep them out.
This is a one-person project. I have a normal job and a family, and I build this in my free time. The servers cost real money every month, and I pay for them myself. Donations keep the app online and free.
The app is also open source on GitHub, so anyone can read the code.
Got an idea for a feature?
The checkout has an optional “feature request” field. Write your idea there. I read every one, and donor ideas get extra attention when I choose what to build next.
Hall of Fame
If you donate €5 or more, your name can be listed here. Type your name or alias in the “Hall of Fame” field at checkout. Leave it empty and you stay private. You cannot pay for a better place on the list. Every name looks the same.
Your name can also link to your website. Add the address after your name in the same field, like “Maria (example.com)”. Links are nofollow, and I may refuse links that look like ads.
